Swiss Journal of Geosciences
Incorporating former Eclogae Geologicae Helvetiae and Schweizerische Mineralogische und Petrographische Mitteilungen
Together with the Swiss Geological Society and the Society of Mineralogy and Petrology, the Swiss Palaeontological Society publishes the Swiss Journal Geosciences. The journal is sponsored by the Platform Geosciences of the Swiss Academy of Sciences. The committee of the SPS thanks the KSPA (Kommission für die Schweizerischen Paläontologischen Abhandlungen) for its sponsorship of the editorial work for the Swiss Journal of Geosciences.
The Swiss Journal of Geosciences publishes original research and review articles, with a particular focus on the evolution of the Tethys realm and the Alpine – Himalayan orogen. By consolidating the former Eclogae Geologicae Helvetiae and Swiss Bulletin of Mineralogy and Petrology, this international journal covers all disciplines of the solid Earth sciences, including their practical applications. The journal gives preference to articles that are of wide interest to the international research community, while at the same time recognising the importance of documenting high-quality geoscientific data in a regional context, including the occasional publication of maps. In addition to the three regular issues per year, thematic “Special Issues” are published at irregular intervals.
The Swiss Journal of Geosciences is distributed free of charge to the members of the Swiss Palaeontological Society (subscription form).
